Privacy Policy
Effective September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Unique Payment Technologies LLC, operating TheStatementThinker.com (“Statement Thinker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the website and Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, telephone number, company, plan, login credentials in protected form, and account status.
- Subscription information: plan, billing amount, transaction and subscription identifiers, payment status, and billing dates. Payment card fields are hosted by NMI; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.
- Uploaded content: merchant statements, logos, business information, and proposal content you choose to submit.
- Analysis and usage information: extracted statement data, calculations, saved customers and proposals, feature usage, device/browser information, IP address, and security or diagnostic logs.
- Communications: information you provide when requesting support, cancellation, or other assistance.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide statement analysis and proposals; create and secure accounts; process and manage subscriptions; enforce plan limits; provide support and transactional communications; detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents; maintain and improve the Service; comply with law; and enforce our agreements.
3. How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that perform functions for us, including Cloudflare for hosting and security, NMI and associated processors for payments and recurring billing, automated-analysis providers for processing submitted content, and email providers for receipts and service messages. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information for money.
4. Merchant statements and sensitive information
Upload only statements you are authorized to process. Do not upload bank statements, Social Security numbers, payment-card security codes, online-banking credentials, or unrelated personal information. Statement data is used to provide the requested analysis, saved history, and proposal workflow.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, accounting, security, and compliance requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting account access.
7. Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information by emailing us. We may verify your identity and retain information where required for transactions, security, legal compliance, or other permitted purposes. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our infrastructure providers may use essential cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, performance, and reliable operation. Browser controls may allow you to limit cookies, but disabling essential cookies can prevent account features from working.
9. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and payment professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the new effective date. For privacy questions or requests, email humansupport@thestatementthinker.com.
